NATICK, MA – May 21, 2009 – Clinivation, Inc. announced today that clinivation Founder and CEO Joseph Kozikowski, M.D. has successfully completed the UCLA Anderson Director Training and Certification Program and the Advanced Audit Committee Module, has passed the NASDAQ-OMX Director Certification Examination, and has achieved NASDAQ-OMX Director Certification.
This Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) – accredited UCLA Anderson Director Training and Certification Program is one of the oldest and most rigorous director certification programs in the world.
Offered by UCLA Anderson’s Executive Education Programs, the Director Training and Certification Program provides content-rich modules that build and increase the expertise of directors of the boards of public companies and of private companies intending to become public.
Taught by UCLA Anderson’s renowned faculty and distinguished speakers representing some of the nation’s most prestigious organizations, this intensive experience begins with key foundational topics in corporate governance- the “nuts and bolts” governance foundation for new directors. It then drills deeper into the complexity of the most pressing issues facing boards today, with an advanced level core program that includes the latest strategies and best practices for effective directorship. Advanced-level modules on audit, compensation, and nominating and governance follow.
The Advanced Audit Committee Module was conducted by Doug Halley, Partner, Deloitte & Touche, LLP. It focused on the most recent regulations applying to audit committees, including the top 10 reporting issues, various aspects of organizational and fraud risk, and ensuring earnings quality.
Offered in partnership with NASDAQ, this director immersion program is presented in partnership with NASDAQ.
If participants successfully complete the program and pass the optional certification exam, participants may choose to be included in NASDAQ’s Board Recruiting database.
Accredited by Institutional Shareholder Services as a Preferred Boardroom Education Program, this program may increase the participant’s company’s Corporate Governance Quotient (CGQ).
The State Bar of California has approved this program for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education credits. A total of 23 credits are granted for those participants who successfully complete all three program days and the optional Advanced Audit Committee Module.
