Dr. Joseph Kozikowski will present on corporate governance and regulatory affairs at the RAPS-accredited Going Global: Best Practices Seminar event.
NATICK, MA – July 1, 2008 – Clinivation, Inc. announced today that clinivation Founder and CEO Joseph Kozikowski, M.D. will present at the Going Global: Best Practices Online Seminar Series event.
As an authority on the development and commercialization of advanced medical technology, and having led thousands of new submissions, renewals, refilings, novated submissions for major multinationals worldwide, Dr. Kozikowski will share his perspectives in a presentation entitled “Effective Governance of Global Market Clearance Operations.”
The presentation will address innovative approaches and important industry best practices, and will include discussions on value creation, effective governance, and enabling execution with information technology.
More specifically, Dr. Kozikowski will present how contemporary corporate governance has direct purview over global market clearance operations. Indeed, achieving sustainable compliance with Sections 302, 404, and 406 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act requires executives to establish and test controls for management visibility, provide governance of export compliance, and effect management sign-off on a code of ethics that mandates compliance with all “applicable governmental rules and regulations.”
And because companies must report related deficiencies, companies are now disclosing export control deficiencies in their annual 10K securities filings. New SEC “disclosure reform” and “shareholder rights” legislation are creating additional requirements for managing market clearance operational compliance and risk.
In this presentation, he will also examine how effective governance is enabled by gaining visibility on the entire process and status of global market clearance operations, delivering comprehensive regulatory intelligence into day-to-day activities, and integrating of automated, clearance-driven business controls into selling, production, and shipping processes. He will also discuss how achieving effective governance and sustainable compliance creates enterprise value.
The audience will include industry regulatory affairs, legal, and other executive leadership. The presentation will be held in conjunction with the RAPS-Accredited Going Global: Best Practices Online Seminar Series conferences on July 31, 2008 at the Going Global: Best Practices Seminar event.
Attendees will receive Certificates of Continuing Education for 1 hour of credit towards R.A.C. recertification with the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society.
